Campaign Preview: If You Have a Microwave, You Have a White Castle!

Calling all creators~

As many of you may know, we have had many campaigns with White Castle—and this month, we have another!

We are seeking creators between the ages of 21 to 45 to join our latest “If You Have a Microwave, You Have a White Castle!” campaign! We want to highlight the ease at which White Castle sliders offer a tasty meal on the go. No matter how much of a rush you are in, as long as you have a microwave you can get that iconic White Castle taste anytime, anywhere.

That being said, we would like to see how White Castle sliders fit into our creators’ every day lives. Whether they are a quick snack before a meeting or a late-night treat, show us how these sliders save time—and the day!

As always, if this campaign sounds like something you or someone you know may be interested in, apply via the Campaign Portal.

Campaign Spotlight: Oppose the GUARD Act

Are you or someone you love a veteran who has had to navigate the process of filing a claim to the VA? If so, this campaign is for you!

The slow and complicated processing of filing a claim makes it difficult for our veterans to receive their well-deserved benefits. The GUARD Act that is currently in the legislative process is disguised as protecting veterans, but in reality, it has the potential of making the claims process more difficult for veterans by removing private actors who guide them through this process.

With that being said, we are still looking for veterans and those currently serving in the United States Armed Forces to encourage those who will be impacted by the GUARD act to look into the act themselves and consider the impact it may have. If this sounds like something you or someone you love may be interested in, apply for the campaign using this link. Be sure to apply soon before its too late!

Campaign Preview: Americans Together

People First is excited to welcome all of our creators to the 2024 Election Year!

This year we will have incredible paid partnership opportunities that aim to spread important election messages for you all to participate in.

To start the year off, we have an exciting new campaign: Americans Together.

The highly polarized state of American politics today leaves little room for compromise and change. If you’ve felt let down by your politicians in the last couple of years, you are not alone.

Join the movement to unite Americans on our American values, regardless of party affiliation or background. Together we can urge our politicians to encourage fiscal responsibility, lower health costs, promote a clean, secure energy future, and limit dark money to politicians, among other issues shared by the majority of Americans.

We are looking for creators from all ages, across party lines and demographics, to speak on the importance of working together to elect leaders who will get sh*t done!

If this sounds like something your or someone you know may be interested in, be sure to click this link to check out the Americans Together campaign.

A Special Thanks to our Creator Community

For those of you who are preparing to celebrate Thanksgiving, and for those of you who simply enjoy having the day off, we encourage you to take a moment and reflect on all that you are thankful for.

This holiday is not just about turkey or amazing sales, it’s about gratitude. With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s important we recognize the abundance that surrounds us and extend our thanks to important people in our lives.

Today we want to take a second and give thanks to our creator community—the everyday social media creators and users who bring a sense of authenticity and relatability to our campaigns. Not only does this allow us to achieve campaign goals, but more importantly, it empowers community members to share important messages across niches. We ask that you take a moment to think about the profound impact of your content on your audience and the greater online community at large.

Additionally, this Thanksgiving, we encourage each of our creators to show their gratitude to those in your life who have supported you, whether that be your family, friends, or followers.

Thank you for being a part of the People First family!

Creator Portal Update: Rating Creators

Hey Creators~ In an effort to strengthen relations between creators and People First organizers, we at People First will now be rating your campaign fulfillment! Don’t fret, it is an incredibly simple three-step rating process:

Upon completion of a campaign, the People First team will consider the following components in a composite 5-star rating:

  1. Rate the creators Campaign Quality out of 5 stars

This is where People First rates the amount of effort the creator put into making their post and how well they adhered to the campaign’s guidelines and requirements

  1. Rate the creator’s Communication Style out of 5 stars

This is where People First rates the creators’ professionalism and ability to submit content within a reasonable time frame

  1. Rate the creator’s Overall performance out of 5 stars

This is where People first rates how likely they are to work with this creator again in the future

This rating system was created with the intention of tracking the relationships between repeated creators and People First organizers. Any creator that satisfies the requirements of the campaign and responds regularly should receive 5-stars! Creators will not be able to view or modify their rating, as they are for internal use.

In the unlikely event that a creator receives two overall 1-star ratings, they will be ineligible to apply to future campaigns on the Creator Portal.
Keep an eye out for future updates as we may use these creator ratings to reward repeated creators with 5-star ratings!

Creator Portal Update: The Referral Dashboard

Here at People First, we’re all digital relational organizers — including our members! This means that if you’re interested in helping find interested participants to join our campaigns, you’ll receive additional compensation.

Invite any of your friends, family members, neighbors, or co-workers to be a part of our community by sending them your custom referral link. Drop it in your group chats, post it to your Instagram story, or leave it in your Facebook groups so that others can quickly sign up.

To access your link, visit “My Profile.”  On the left-hand side, click “Referral Dashboard.” Copy your referral link and forward it directly to those who you think would be interested in participating in a campaign with People First. If your referral is accepted to join the campaign & goes live with their content, you will receive anywhere from $25-$100 per referral!

Please note, you will receive compensation after your referral goes live with their content. This payout will be accessible to you in the Payout Center.

Election Day is Almost Here!

Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, New Jersey, Washington, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Virginia, and California.

If you’ve been accepted to participate in a campaign, you’ll want to submit your draft as soon as possible. If you plan on referring a friend, please do so soon so that you can receive an additional bonus!

Creator Portal Update: Campaign Limits

Hey creators~

People First is constantly updating the Creator Portal to give our community of content-creators the best user-experience possible. We appreciate your patience and feedback over the last several months!

One of our latest updates places a restriction on the number of campaigns in which creators can apply. Currently, this limit is set to a total of four campaigns. That is to say if you have applied to four campaigns already, you will need to wait until your profile has been reviewed and it has been confirmed that you’re a fit before applying to more campaigns. Fortunately, there is no restriction on the number of campaigns you can be approved for at any given time.

Why have we pivoted to limiting the number of applications? Here at People First, it’s important to us that creators are applying to campaigns in which they’re drawn to, as opposed to applying to campaigns in bulk. All of our campaigns offer a description that provides some preliminary background information on the campaign, and gives you, the creator, a sense of who the ideal candidate is. Please take the time to read these descriptions carefully, as you may find that some campaigns are not a match for you. Additionally, this restriction helps you, the creator, give your feed some breathing room, away from having too many sponsored posts.

We hope this change is something that helps our creator community, and allows interested applicants a faster turn around to confirm whether or not you have been approved to participate. As always, we look forward to reviewing your applications and seeing what you come up with!

Creator Tip: Finding a Niche

Hey there creators!

As our creator portal platform continues to expand and build, we have a new tip:

Creators should focus on their own niche, and really read through all the available campaigns we have when applying to our opportunities. So remember: Only apply to campaigns that apply to you! This not only helps with progressing the speed of your application, but makes it easier for communication between agents and creators.

Make sure you are reading through all the guidelines for your account to have when filling out an application, and being fair with the pricing negotiation. An unfair pricing negotiation can really ruin your opportunity for a campaign you could be a perfect fit for!

Thanks for reading, and hope to see you on the creator portal!

Creator Tip: Social Media 101

We at People First are fortunate to work with thousands of people from all over the country to join our campaigns and raise their voice. However, content creation looks different for everyone, which is why we’ve put together a list of tips for new and experienced content creators to make your social media pages better than ever !

These tips are a great way not only to build a bond with your community and increase engagement, but help make your experience working with People First as seamless as possible. Feel free to take what resonates with you!

  • Tip 1: Get With the Trends
    • Be in-touch with current trends and hashtags. Join the movement by contributing your own take, or putting a spin on someone else’s work.
    • Being real is in! We want you to have fun with your content, so don’t be afraid to be yourself. Creating content that reflects your personality is what social media is all about!
    • Be careful that the trend you’re hopping onto isn’t something that’s going to be seen as harmful or offensive. People First, and many of the brands we work with, are reluctant to work with anyone that uses offensive language or imagery.
  • Tip 2: Monitor Your Own Performance
    • Utilize engagement tracking services to see what works well for your audience and what does not. See if you can find any patterns about what’s working, and what pieces can be improved.
    • Be transparent. Pivoting your approach to content creation is normal, and being transparent about this will allow for you to create trust between you and your community.
  • Tip 3: Post Consistently
    • If you’re in the process of growing your following, we recommend posting to Instagram at least 3x a week, along with regular stories highlighting smaller pieces.
    • For TikTok, we recommend posting twice a week and capitalizing off of existing trends and audios. These are most likely to be recognized and pick up more engagement!
  • Tip 4: Vary Your Content
    • Positing consistently is great for those looking to expand their audience, but failing to vary your content can lead to people following off.
    • We encourage you to space out your sponsorship deals, to fill those gaps with organic pieces. This allows for your followers to see a more genuine and authentic side to you, without being bombarded with paid partnerships.
  • Tip 5: Be Proud of Honest Engagement
    • When working on paid social media partnerships, it’s extremely important that your audience, and the engagements you receive, are from real social media users.
    • Why? Fake followers, likes, and comments are not a true measure of success and they will make clients hesitant to work with you. And yes – they are very easy to spot.
    • Believe in the power of the micro influencer! Content creators with smaller audiences tend to have better relationships with their following, which lends to better engagement rates overall. Here at People First, we take this into consideration when determining a suggested rate for partnerships, so that you can be compensated fairly in light of a smaller follower base,
